Yilin's a wonderful housemate! I lurve her to bits. I think in future I'll name my child Yilin cos all Yilins are super nice ppl. And her christian name shall be jessica cos all jessicas have good luck in terms of popularity, which is a great asset to have. Oops, i digress. Yar, Billy's pretty guai nowadays, dun really try to come into my room much, although just before this he came into my room while I was in teh washroom. But at least he doesn't make himself comfortable on my bed as he used to.

Just had the housewarming party. Originally wanted to go party or something but tmr's mardi gras, must save some energy. Also today very tired for some reason. n tmr's ocf welcome lunch also, must go broadway early to buy food. And cos bus comes so infrequently must wake up super early. Yawns.

Quite high actually! Cos of CG!! But its not happening at the right time. I'm away now. And by the time I'm back everything would have been forgotten. Sigh... maybe its not meant to be. But well, I've tried. 'nothing is possible if you don't try' is supposed to be the line i live by according to whoever does the website. Grr... was about to log off when raj logged on, can't stop myself saying hi but after that very rude to leave, but too tired to make conversation.

Finally got my internet connection up! Whee!

Ooo.. scuba diving is off, but we made a pact to go to cairns during the easter break to get our cert instead. So fun! And during the weekend where we're supposed to have the dive, fiona, liz n i are going to the wakeboard camp instead! Whee!! Is that fun or what?

Yesterday was so bored at the booth so went to play this 'boxing game' thingy, quite fun, me n shimei were far too civil to each other tho, we were just like giggly all the way and not really wanting to swing punches at each other. Leanne n Felicia were far more aggressive... think they had more fun that way... haha.. Whoa, but the huge punching gloves were really heavy.  It was like a weight-lifting session man.

Oh and the day before yest really tortured Tony by asking him to help with translation of like 3 alpha lessons. He looked really tired after that. Quite pai seh to ask him again next time, but prob have to since I don't know all the temrs in mandarin, and can't read some of the harder words of the bible in traditional text.

Sigh, there's a regretable character clash between a friend of mine and me. I really really should learn to be humble. humble people can be friends with both proud and humble ppl, but pride immediately eliminates all proud people. At least for close friends. Some time back I was thinking what cause people to be humble or proud, and I figured there are 2 sources for each. Pride can arise from either a lifetime of exceeding expectations so slowly conditioning one to think that he/she is someone really great, or a childish, "I'm the centre of the world", "I'm the group leader, yay!" kind of mentality. Humility similarly, can be from maturity, from seeing much and knowing that you are nothing actually, or a child-like innocence and general bo-chup about everything. Yar, just some little bit of rubbish.

Oh, Harry Potter was a disappointment. I thought the first book was really clever, with all the clues pointing to a particular (wrong) direction and eventually piecing it all up in a really smart way. Now Rowling's trying to do the same thing but the result is just that the whole book's covered with confusing stuff that seem totally extra and meaningless at that time and explained in the end, that's quite different from the intended effect actually. And Mingyi told me the name of the person who died has 2 words. So I thought it was Cho Chang, cos she was the only person in the book constantly referred to by a name with 2 words. Turned out, it was Sirus. Der. Everyone's name has 2 words then, a first name and a last name. Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Sirus Black. Grr... and he said turn to the last page to find out who died so when Sirus died quite some distance from the last page I tot he was going to come back to life and someone else die. and that din happen either. That made the last part of the book totally unenjoyable.

Can't think of anything else to write, gotta go off to buy househole stuff!

I realised how silly I had been about a certain someone. Der. A guy that loves you more than you love him is always the most precious.

Was in Harrison Pharmacy at broadway just now and there was this shelve with wigns saying 'make the most of your mardi gras experience' and it was filled with condoms and lubricants and the like. You'll never see that in Singapore man. I can't wait for mardi gras. Although Denise n Gwen n probably all the ocf-ers disapprove of it. I'm going. With C? Or J? Or maybe not, its too big a risk, I trust myself, but I don't trust any man. And perhaps as Denise says, I trust myself too much.

Grrr... they gave me a sucky timetable. I want a 2 day week and they planned it such that its a 4 day week instead! I'm going to try to change it. First day of school or something. Hope I get the private international law class, then I can see if I like it.

Hmm.. had lots to write before this but forgot everything the moment i sat before the comp.

Just checked, have just enough finances to afford a lousy car. Something less than $5000, which if I do not want much engine capacity think still can get a prety decent car here. Hmm... did i mention that I passed a car dealer with gauranteed buy back yesterday? think i did... Or should I just set aside some money to rent cars when i need instead of buying a car, but then if i buy i can use it all the time, renting is only for a short period... hmm...

Thought o week was supposed to be the whole of this week? Could have arranged to travel somewhere else with my friends had I known that its only wed n thurs... sigh, what to do with myself now??

Dive... quite apprehensive about it actually, after jess old me about her near-drowning experience and how she has been coughing out water for weeks after it... well, we'll see how it goes.

My palm's still not working properly, think i can still use it to take notes but dun feel safe... sigh... realised i bought the wrong handheld... palm v instead of my Vx, which means that i can't use doc to go with it!!! grr... no wonder its so cheap.

Passion of christ yesterday was so so touching. It was incredible. But as Denise says, I would not be able to watch it a second time. Everyone go and watch it!! I think Mel Gibson did a good job. Although some parts I felt were handled in an overly typical commercial movie kind of way. I really pray that all who watch this movie will be touched by it. Denise n i both thought they should show the resurrection in full though, cos that's where hope comes in. The suffering was devastating, but I feel the message is not full without the hope that comes along as well.

I'm falling sick.

I can't believe how much my parents are spending just to allow me to come over for exchange. And its not as if it would really add much value to my degree, its just something I would really want to do, to make up for oxford maybe? But how can this ever compare anyway, although its also better in a lot of ways maybe.
